Congress venue
Le Méridien Nice is set in a unique location, in the center of town and a short drive from the Nice International Airport, with picturesque city views or dramatic views of the ocean. The majority of the hotel has been recently renovated in a modern and contemporary style, Le Méridien Nice overlooks the Baie des Anges, the Mediterranean Sea and the historic center of Nice, allowing guests to explore the rich history and refined simplicity of Southern France.

Administrative proceduresAll foreign nationals who wish to visit France must be capable of presenting proofs required under regulations concerning the purpose of their visits, their means of support and conditions of accommodation. In certain cases, a visa is required. It must be applied for from French consular services prior to departure. Services• Food Participants are provided free of charge with food and beverages for coffee breaks and luncheons. • Wifi-space Throughout the Congress, a wifi-space will be made available free of charge to Congress attendees.
Daily life• Electric current The electric current in France is 220 V. • Health No vaccinations are required for entry into France.
Local Area• Flower Market You will always find watercolour artists painting this visually rich flower market. In the "Cours Saleya", sheltered by small striped awnings, astonishing quantities of flowers are for sale. Typical restaurants and bars in the area are fantastic discovery opportunities. • Massena Museum The permanent collections at the Massena Museum of Art and History focus on the history of Nice, and the Earldom from the 11th to 19th century. The exhibits include religious and sacred art including paintings and sculpture. Guided tours are available. • Lascaris Palace The baroque "Palais Lascaris" in the city's historic core is associated with the Lascaris- Vintimille family, whose recorded history dates back to 1261. Built in the 17th century, it contains elaborately detailed ornaments. • MAMAC "Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain" features French and American avant-garde art from the 1960's to the present day. The different sections of the museum are linked together by glass passageways. The art displayed here includes the works of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenburg. One entire section of the museum is devoted to French artist Yves Klein. • Museum of Beaux Arts Tucked away in the Baumettes district is this sumptuous villa built in the 1870's for a Russian princess, now transformed into a museum of fine arts. Several rooms are dedicated to the work of famous French artist, Raul Duffy. • Museum of Naive Art Jakovsky "Musée International d'Art Naïf Anatole-Jakovsky" (Museum of Naïve Art) is located in the Fabron district of Nice. The museum, named for the art critic, houses Jakovsky's personal collection. Over 600 drawings and canvases are located here, and the works are an overview of artists from over two dozen countries, and from primitive to recent pieces. • Shopping To glamourise your wardrobe or simply for the pleasure of the eyes, Le Méridien Nice is a stone's throw away from the luxury boutiques: fine jewellery in Avenue de Verdun, fashion designers in Rue Paradis and Avenue de Suède, accessories and fragrances in Rue Alphonse Karr and Rue Longchamp...so many window displays which are a celebration of elegance. • Matisse Museum The Matisse Museum is housed in a 17th century Italian villa that has distinctive red walls. The collection of works featured inside includes those lent by the State, its heirs, and Matisse himself, who lived in Nice from 1917 to 1954. Everything from his student works to those he did in his later years are displayed here. The museum is located in the heart of an olive grove, close to the Hotel Regina, where Matisse resided during his time in Nice. • Chagall Museum "Musée National Message Biblique Marc Chagall" is devoted to Chagall's treatment of biblical themes. Over 400 pieces of his work are displayed here, including his oils, pastels, drawings, lithographs, gouaches, ceramics, sculptures, mosaics, amongst others. Several stained glass windows designed by Chagall are also displayed here.
